ABOUT ME

Christie and Meagan (we're roommates) didn't know how to answer this question so we decided to have the other person write our description.

Meagan on Christie: I am writing to tell you what a wonderful person and roommate my friend Christie is. She is sitting here, watching me write this, and she is laughing at me, but it is true. Christie has a fondness for bonfires, mis-matched socks, and portuguese water dogs. If she was a type of tree she'd be a sassafras. This is probably all you need to know.

Christie on Meagan: My dear friend Meagan is both a incredible poet and a fantastic chef. She enjoys themed parties, sweater dresses, and making the perfect cup of tea. She has an excellent sense of humor and is full of great stories.

PHILOSOPHY

All's well that ends well. A penny saved is a penny earned. You win some you lose some. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Beware of a man of one one. Cocaine is gods way of telling you that you make too much money. It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice. That's all folks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet participated in Couchsurfers but I have wanted to try it out for years. I look forward to meeting new people and exploring new places through this great program!

Interests

We both work at non-profits and so enjoy helping out others. This, in turn, makes us feel better about ourselves. This is why you might be able to stay on our couch.

Christie also enjoys: Backyard fies, bars, hiking, biking, ice fishing (hypothetically), snacks, and reading.

Meagan also enjoys: Gin and tonics, dangly earrings, poetry, popcorn, cooking, symmetry, and mad men.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Christie: Taking a cross country road trip from Oregon to North Carolina, back up to Maine. Scuba diving off the coast of Hawaii. Taking a cruise in Milford Sound, New Zealand.

Meagan: Seeing the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Getting to hold my cousin a few days after she was born. Making it to the top of Mt. Katahdin via Knife's Edge, turning around and hiking it again.
