ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Cait! I currently run a comedy bar in downtown Chicago, which is as fun as it sounds :) If you're ever in the area, I'll comp you and your friends in for a show!
I have moved just about every two years of my life, living in 7 U.S. states, as well as Scotland and Costa Rica. Right now I'm looking to ground myself in Chicago with my family for awhile and travel as much as possible.
I've had a variety of careers so far from writing environmental policy to teaching middle school math to sales, tech start-ups, and now the comedy club.
I enjoy and embrace change in every aspect of my life as it always teaches me more about who I am and what I'm capable of, not to mention it brings a lot of new experiences and skills to the table.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started Couchsurfing and hosting Couchsurfers while I was in graduate school in Edinburgh, Scotland. It's been awhile since I've been active, but I'm excited to jump back in! I'm looking to travel and meet new people.
I am fine being completely on my own if you're the independent host, or we can plan some adventures!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had the pleasure of hosting and hanging out with some amazing people in the community. I've hosted surfers from Germany, Canada, and the U.S.
I'm always up for hanging out, surfing where I can, and participating in the whole!

Interests

I love live music; whether it's a guy and his guitar at some local pub, or a huge music festival - it's one of my favorite things to experience.
I've discovered that I really enjoy learning the history of a city, building, community, etc. I've become addicted to historic tours (including ghost tours, haha) and book one everywhere I go.
I also love dancing, theatre, nature, watching films, partying, learning, working with people, being on the water, and having a good laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic Rock, Blues, Hip-Hop, Today's Hits - you name it, I'll listen to it. Not a huge fan of Metal or EDM, but I can have a good time anywhere!

Comedies and thrillers are my jam.

I like suspense, historic novels - fiction or non, classics, and conspiracy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a tough one, but the first thing that came to mind was zip-lining for miles and miles through the astounding canopy of a Costa Rican rainforest - I'll never forget the feeling... or the view!
