Just embarking on a trip of my lifetime - backpacking in South America!

ABOUT ME

I am a Slovak guy who spent almost quarter of his life living in Scotland. I've travelled, worked and spent some time in quite a variety of places, love learning & speaking foreign languages, playing sports and doing outdoor activities.

PHILOSOPHY

I am definitely open-minded, sometimes quite smart, too...and also green a lot!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'd like to do some travelling once in a while but don't really have a place to put people up myself. Drop me a line if you are heading to Glasgow and would like to grab a beer with *almost* a local!

Volleyball (I play, coach and referee!)
Outdoor sports: Hiking, camping, mountain biking, skiing (I used to work as a ski technician, too!)
Squash and tennis (I am not a star but love playing when I can)
Foreign languages and cultures (I love anything Hispanic and Italian, and the same might happen with French, soon!)
Travelling (I like to pack my big backpack and get out there for a while)
Photography (goes well with traveling and hiking, of course)

Música, películas y libros

Books: George Orwell, Mark Twain, getting into Hemingway these days. Still a lot to read through though.

Film: Almodovar, Nanni Moretti, and many others. I happen to like movies from countries language of which I speak!

Music: mostly classic rock, Flamenco guitar, lots of old stuff...

Having a beer and watching the night-time Toronto with my CS host on the terrace of his 47th-floor apartment.

Visiting Isla Catalina in Dominican Republic and playing beach volleyball on the white sand.

Watching the sun go down into the Mediterranean Sea on the west coast of Malta in November.
