About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become fluent in Japanese.

ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Dustin. I've been exploring Asia over the past 4 years and I recently moved to Tokyo, Japan. So far I totally love it! I can't wait to meet new friends on CS and learn more about this awesome country.

Something else about me: I'm very keen on hiking. I've tramped through some pretty incredible places, my favorites being the Everest Region of Nepal, the Pamir Mountains of Western China, the Tibetan lowlands of China's Yunnan province, and the Tongariro Crossing of New Zealand.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an adventure, and people are a world of opportunities. Wake up every day open to anything. You never know where you may wind up...

Music, Movies, and Books

Here's a random list of favorite movies off the top of my head: Seven Samurai, Full Metal Jacket, The Big Lebowski, The Third Man, Taxi Driver, and Pulp Fiction. I love anything gritty, artistic, or thought-provoking. I like movies that change the way I live and think.

Here are also some books that I enjoy: War and Peace, Into Thin Air, On the Road, Thus Spake Zarathustra, Moby Dick, and Being and Time

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I solo hiked a remote area of the Pamir Mountains in western China, I skydove in New Zealand, and I ate the craziest foods on the Korean peninsula.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ask me about Korea and I could tell you stories all day. It's a fascinating place.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, China, India, Italy, Laos, Nepal, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam
