About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the world, see the width and breadth of human culture.

ABOUT ME

My current status: Bored from NOT traveling enough. I love to travel but don't get the chance as much as I would like. I work full time but have made it a priority to do more of this year. In my spare-spare time (Whats left that is) I go boating, hike, and do other outdoor activities (almost all of them). I also work with kids, mentoring and tutoring, and firmly believe that learning should be a MAJOR priority in life. Learning about yourself, others, and the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Help when you can, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Try new things, and be the change you want to see in the world.

I have two major goals in life. One is to learn as much as I possibly can about the world, in all its wonder. The second, is to be as positive an impact on the world as I can, one person at a time. I want to change peoples lives for the better.

I have hosted 4 foreign exchange students and hope to continue to do so next year as well!

All of them. From Classic music, to Rap and Electronic. From classic literature, to science fiction, My favorite books would be adventure books, and I specifically love the Ender series.
Just about every movie is good to me, I prefer action movies, sci-fi, comic and fantasy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a former Student Ambassador with people to people, I have visited nearly every major sight in England, France, Italy, and Greece all in a matter of 3 weeks in the summer of 2002. It was probably to most amazing thing i have ever done in my life. And have recently reconnected with nearly all of the kids I traveled with (we were 13-14 years old)

Ok, im going to cheat and give you too.... I adopted a 10 year old boy from foster care when I was 24, becoming the youngest single adoptive father in the US.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts

A unique perspective from someone who feels like a citizen of the world, not just one country. I see the world differently then most people. I would love to share this with my hosts. Also, my son will bring with a sense of wonder for different cultures beyond the US.
