About Me

My wife and I are living on the coast of Northern France. It's cold but nice !

We are about to start travelling again: first, starting in Sptember 2019: a tour of France by tandem during 2 months, then, next year, a trip through Americas from Canada to Argentina. We travel with our nice little dog, our tent and luggage, as usual.

We are mechanical engineers but we quit our jobs in France to travel.

I travelled with my wife and my dog by bicycle through Japan during 1 year, South Korea during 3 months, Scotland during 3 weeks. I also rode my bicycle across the United Kingdom along 3000km in 40 days. And I rode my bike through Cape Verde as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are willing to host others travellers who would like to discover our neighbourhood or who simply need a place to stay. Because we know it's very nice to take a hot shower or to sleep in a bed sometimes...!

We would like to offer others travellers what we need when it's our turn to travel! That means: couch, place to store luggage or advices and good addresses.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are used to host friends or friends from friends, couchsurfers and warmshowers.
We received some people just for one night or for some days. It depends on the size of our apartment and our availability. We always propose to spend some time with our host but they are free to have free time also!

We have been hosted several times! Everytime we met uncredibly nice people. It's good to see that they are open minded people, ready to trust others travellers. It's really a great experience and we are looking to meet others CS!

Interests

We are interested in local culture, martial arts, music, outdoor activities, cinema and reading.
We also like to discover every tiny part of a country: main cities, small village, national parks and meet some people living there. That means that we enjoy tasting the local food too!
We like to learn new things, anywhere, anykind!

Music, Movies, and Books

As we listen to so many different things, watch so many different movies and read so many different books, we propose you to know what we have right now in our bags:

Une histoire populaire de la France
The complete novels and stories of Sherlock Holmes (eng)
One Piece, Naruto, Belzebub (jap)
Mobydick
Korean complete method!

New album of Bjork: Biphilia
New album of Tom Waits

Zombieland
Fargo
La cité des enfants perdus

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working in a circus
Bicycle around Japan with my dog and my girlfriend
Breaking a bicycle pedal in the middle of nowhere in Scotland and having a nice guy dismantling his own bike to offer me his pedals ! I came back 3 years afterwards to give him back the pedals and thank him with some french wine !
