Overview
About Me
I consider myself a citizen of the world. I grew up in the US (California), but have spent 2 years in Germany, 1 year in Kenya, and 1 year in France. "Home" is currently Bensheim, Germany, but I spent the past 7 years in Corvallis, Oregon..
I love meeting people from all over the world and learning about different cultures and languages. (Which is why my Master's degree is in Linguistics.) I've chosen a career in international education because I want others to experience the transformative wonder that is international travel. Through my job and personal experiences, I've been lucky enough to meet people from nearly every country in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After surviving a bout of breast cancer, I realized that life is short and I need to make the most of the time I have left; namely by travelling.
I decided to quit my job and travel around the world on a "Victory Tour". I visited 15 countries in 6 months in 2016. I'm trying to explore the world and live life to the fullest!
