I make things. I work as a chef. I like climbing trees and wandering empty streets. I spend my free time on porches and by fires listening (and singing) to my friends' music, drinking coffee or whiskey, and smoking cigarettes. I prefer to be outside. I cook delicious things, usually Latin American or French style. I'm good at listening and at petting cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner and I came to Costa Rica with one-way tickets, and now we're traveling as far as we can on what we have. Looking to meet interesting people and hear stories along the way.

Interests

Making things... sculpture, drawing, painting, leather-working, blacksmithing, sewing, cooking, and all kinds of crafting.
Music... attempting to learn the ukulele and tenor banjo, but I can sing.
Adventuring... bring me somewhere I've never been, give me a chance to face some fear -- those are my favorite days.
Philosophy... I've studied it, I live it, and I do love to talk about it -- to share my perspectives and to hear and learn from yours.
