About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Embracing Adventure and Being Alive

ABOUT ME

I did an accelerated high school program, left home when I was seventeen, and then completed a fast-paced degree program at a university in Califoria. Having my college degree before I could legally drink made me realize I needed to re-think my priorities. I was so dead-set on getting things done that I never took a moment to breathe and live a little. I've always loved traveling but talked myself out of it too many times in favor of work and school responsibilities. So now my real adventures begin, and I hope to have some great stories one day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only just begun my couchsurfing existence, but I've been a host once so far and I had a great time showing off the ocean and the redwood forest near my current town of Arcata, CA.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fantasy nerd and always have a book nearby. I enjoy shaking my hips and dancing to live music--salsa and afro-cuban, soft rock, industrial...it's all beautiful to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the summer of 2012 living in the jungle in Belize as part of an archaeological dig through my college anthropology department--literally in a tent in the middle of the rainforest. I've traveled all over the west coast, spent some time in Guatemala and the Caribbean, stayed my best friend in Canada, and spend a week each summer in Arizona with my grandparents. I have siblings in Texas and Arkansas, but don't see them often enough. Now that I have no immediate school/career objective, I want to dedicate my life to exploring the world and seeing other perspectives firsthand.
