I have traveled quite a bit around the world and in the States and hope to reduce my costs, and those of visitors, by making friends with folks along the way. My wife and I used to run an informal guest house before couchsurfing came along and met many great folks from around the world as part of that adventure...without ever leaving New Haven, CT.
