Cyril comes from the South of France and works as a French language teacher in an international school in Paris. Alexandra is from Normandy, and works on websites development.

Just in case our username and profile picture are not clear enough: there's A CAT and TWO KIDS in this appartement!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We moved in a new apartment about 10 years ago (we're still working on it...), hosted a few people, then had kids - we're now trying to get back to hosting from time to time. Hopefully one day we'll get back to surfing as well...

We're not on CouchSurfing to "make friends" (though it can - and did - happen). We just believe it's a great opportunity to help out people who want to travel.

We know (and perfectly understand) that Couchsurfing is also about saving money.
We find it absurd when people have to pay a fortune for a room in a hotel, when there are tons of available couches all over town... Especially when someone has only one night in Paris before taking a train or a plane - short-time stays and emergency requests are welcome!

Considering the harm Airbnb is causing to our city (and to many others around the world), we're more than happy to offer an alternative :)

We also think CS is a great way to show our kids about hospitality and how big the world is - though they're young and don't really care about our guests for the moment :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted and keep hosting here in Paris, met people through CS while in Japan, and surfed in the USA. Great experiences (apart from this one guest who behaved like he was in a free hostel - please don't be like that guy!).

Intereses

Eating, drinking and chatting with friends.
Discovering new bars and restaurants in our neighborhood and city, and eating food we've never had before.
Taking naps!
Garlic.
We also love movies, cats, games, music, books, the internet, podcasts, graphic novels...

We're NOT the intellectual type (but - hopefully - we're not completely dumb either).

Música, películas y libros

Many different things (from 70's rock to French rap, graphic novels to non-fiction books, Coen Brothers to Jacques Demy, The Wire to The Office...).

If you want to share something you really like, we'll be happy to discover it.

Had two kids. This clearly tops it all.
