About Me

ABOUT ME

I really like just relaxing and having a good time. Sitting outside having a coffee or a beer, just talking with friends is a great day for me!

PHILOSOPHY

I just try to make the best of every situation! I think each new moment is a chance at something new. So even if things are going bad, if we take a step back and evaluate what's going on, we'll always have a fresh opportunity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was first introduced into the CS scene when I was living in Lyon, France from 2011-2012. My flatmate was a very active couch surfer, and at least a couple times a month we hosted people. I also started going to some CS activities around Lyon and was welcomed into the CS community.

I've only surfed once, but I was so grateful to be hosted by the most interesting and kindest person in Zagreb, Croatia! That was in 2013 when I was travelling the county, and I'm still in contact with my host today!

So, I'm not the most active couchsurfer, but I think it's a great way to travel and meet people. I hope I'll have more opportunities to couchsurf soon!

I also like Marlon Brando's early films, especially A Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront. I also like a lot of films that came out in the 60s and 70s, especially ones like 'A Dog Day Afternoon' and 'Chinatown' I like a lot of films that our coming out these days, too. I just saw 'A separation,' and Iranian film, which was really great.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach and Share: Here is a link to a short movie starring me and my supervisor! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4h3SgzrEsY (I'm also the narrator, too!) We are microbiologists and, among many things, we're trying to better understand what makes certain microbiomes (that's any place where bacteria live, like your gut or even in the soil beneath our feet) susceptible to invasion by bacteria. If you have any questions about bacteria, I can (hopefully) answer them!

Learn: I'm willing to learn whatever you might be willing to teach and share ;)
