About Me

CURRENT MISSION

living the student dream... travelling europe!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised near Toronto, Ontario, flew the coop to Montreal for university, and am now venturing even further by working in Germany for the summer. I want to cram as many experiences as possible into my life before getting tied back to school. I'm a laid-back premed (oxymoron?) up for anything from a mellow evening with a beer and a friend to breaking into graveyards after dark. I love to meet new people and see new things... but then again, who doesn't!

PHILOSOPHY

I love meeting people that I disagree with. The world would be a terribly boring place if we all thought the same way!

Interests

in no particular order and by no means complete...
rubik's cubes and cryptic crosswords, cooking, reading everything from classics to blogs, making silly pictures on paint, eating weird foods, theatre, fine arts

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I tend not to remember them a week after watching, though I did enjoy Burn After Reading and There Will Be Blood. I've probably seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail more than any other movie on the planet.

Music - Opera (not an expert, but I am currently enjoying Carmen and Rigoletto), Iron&Wine, Erik Satie, Belle and Sebastien, Simon and Garfunkel, David Bowie

Books - anything by Kazuo Ishiguro, poetry of all sorts (Eliot, Atwood, and Don Marquis are among my favourites), the Wallander books by Henning Mankell, What's Bred in the Bone (Robertson Davies)... the list goes on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been stung all the way down one side of my body by neurotoxic cyanobacteria while snorkelling in Panama. It was awful at the time, and an amazingly unique experience.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Japan, Panama, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Germany
