I want kids out here in New Mexico to love school as much as I did back in the day.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small Iowa town. I stayed in Iowa for undergrad and then joined Teach for America which dropped me out here in Navajo Country. I can't believe that it gets much better than teaching, so I feel pretty lucky.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I sang on a traveling choir where we couch crashed all over Washington. Best night I spent was in a rectory with this old priest. Lots of drinks and he was hilarious

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ate cuy (a guinea pig) in Ecuador. Let me tell you, it does not taste like chicken.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn - I am an atrocious, unhealthy eater. I would like to learn to cook a couple of easy, healthy dishes

Share - I know the Chuska Mountains pretty well and like to show off its canyons, ruins, forests, and peaks
