ABOUT ME

I'm a landscape architecture/urban planner currently living in Cergy, Ile-de-France. Before that, I was living in Oregon, Austin, and before that Switzerland and before that Kansas...

I've traveled a bit and count those experiences as some of the best of my life. Hoping this site gets me to travel more. And when I can't do the traveling, I hope to still get the experience of meeting cool new folks through occasional hosting.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very carefree but not careless. I'm opinionated but I don't take myself (or life) too seriously--at all.

I love live music. My tastes in music are broad but tend towards the heavy rock/metal side.

Hiking, camping and hot springs are my other favorite activities. I become engrossed in anything to do with urban parks, ecology, or architecture/landscape architecture. I also love to sketch and draw people in public places.

I'm not much of a club/partier type person as I would much prefer a small lounge where I can have good drinks and conversation to a packed club full of sweaty dancing people and loud techno music.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had much couchsurfing experience but I have hosted many on my couch. I'm traveling the moment so now is my chance to try the other side of the coin!

I swam in a deep cave called Dzitnup in the Yucatan jungle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I draw. I'm happy to teach (since I do that at school already). My specialty is perspective sketching, watercolor and pen and ink. We can hang out in a public square and draw people and landscapes all day! (or not?...)

I can also speak Spanish and French. Need someone to practice with? No problem, I gotcha covered.
