ABOUT ME

I grew up in Illinois and California, but right now I'm going to college in Portland, Oregon. I'm taking this semester off to work and travel, and so far I've been using my time off to brush up on my French and Spanish and to learn how to play the drums (probably the coolest thing I ever decided to pick up).

I'll also be traveling with my boyfriend Davis, so I should probably say a bit about him too. He's 22, has lived in Portland all his life. He started a pizza place with his two brothers when he was 16, but spends a lot of his free time playing music (mostly guitar with some ukelele, drums, harmonica, and other things he dabbles in). The trip we're taking to Europe will only be his second time ever flying on a plane, and his first time out of the country, which is super exciting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently heard about the CS project, and since I'm about to be traveling to Europe to visit some friends in different cities, I thought it would be great to meet new people and surf some couches!

Although I don't have a couch to provide for others (I live with 4 other people already, who aren't as keen on strangers coming through), I would love to meet up with anybody visiting Portland and show them around or suggest places to visit. Portland is a fantastic city for anyone who likes books, coffee, bicycles, great microbrews, or big parks with forests in them. If you don't like any of those things then you're missing out : )
