About Me

Hi :-)
I am Dounia, from Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium.
I've been living for quite a long time in France, at first I came for my bachelor and Master in Sociology and then I stayed along ;-)
I’m currently taking some time off before moving to an eco-community in the Cévennes (a small mountain region in France, 30min away by car from the small city Les Vans), where I’ll be working with friends on a permaculture garden project, simultaneously I study transpersonal Pyschology.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love discovering new places, meeting new people and cultures and I love sharing too :)

I enjoy talking about different life experiences and travelling experiences. I'm always up to share different points of view, different live styles, debates, music, food, culture or just a smile.

For the moment, I'm pretty much into yoga, reading, folk dance and I just discovered acro-yoga and might be interested to discover much more about it.

Soon I will be living in a little house in Elze (Malons et Elze) 30min away from Les vans by car.
I am living with some friends of mine, in a national park, so there is not much to do aside of hiking, getting to know each other, sharing a meal or going for a swim in the river, but if you are excited about those things your always welcome.
I have a spare room with an extra bed for hosting ;-) And if you have any question don't hesitate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it is an amazing way of meeting people, different cultures and traveling :)
Couchsurfing is great experience to get to know new people from different horizons ^^
I think it is amazing because you get in touch with people from different culutres and background. It is a way to become more open-minded towards new situations and persons. It is a great possibility to travel trough stories of other people and to share our own stories with others.

I already met many amazing people though couchsurging and I hope I will be able to meet even more people.
