Ummm....Where to start?

If you know your English class structure and subcultures then typical middle class, left wing, indie geek is a good description.

Sod it, I'll just copy and paste what my friend Sophie wrote for me in one of my unsucessful forrays into internet dating:

"I have known Dan for about three years now, and we are still friends which is a great sign :) we were in a band together until we all moved to different cities. Dan is a confident and passionate guy, he loves his music and is super talented. That's the reason I joined the band. He spends half his time working on his music (he plays drums and also makes electronic music) and the other half he spends working at Bolton College as a sign language assistant which he has worked hard for and really enjoys ( previously his life guarding job was not his passion in life!) He has a brilliant sense of humour, makes for interesting conversation, cooks a mean sausage mustard pasta and has an excellent colourful shirt collection to name a few extra advantages. He is also into running and has completed several marathons. I like him but I'm biased, you'll have to just find out for yourself!" Sophie

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm prepared to give hosting a go. I signed up as I found myself going on holiday on my own after some friends dropped out of a trip. I'd been to a few couchsurfing linked parties and music nights and it seems like a good way to meet people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I tend to stay in hostels or with friends.
