I work in a government institution in State Education Development Agency in Riga. I supervise, how State Vacational Schools and Universities are built from European Structural fund financial resources (there is one photo, where you can see me with builder cap on my head, and there I am standing on the roof of the University of Latvia in Tornakalns).

Till now I have no expierience in couchsurfing, I always have stayed in hotels. Yes, I have registered in this homepage in 2013, un still haven't surfed! Why? Firstly, I registered, read many profiles, but I was scared to stay in a strangers house. Then I have forgotten about this page for a while. Now, in 2016 we bougt a tickets to USA, and I remebered that time, when me and my husband stayed in my relatives house near Milwaukee in 2009. That was amazing time! We have a lot of memories, because of possibility to communicate with peoples and see, how they live (and, yes, there are so many differences, and that is so interesting to see that!). I talked to one my friend (he is my friend here), and he was a host many times, and he had such a great expierience to meet other nationalities. When you live in a hotel you are not able to see and know local places (and these places are the best).

Centres d'intérêt

In summer I like gardening, I have greenhouse where I grow organic tomatoes. I have roses, trees and berry bushes. That is so great, when kids are able to go barefoot early Sunday mornings and eat berries directly from the bush :)
In winters - we are relaxing, reading, making snowballs and snowmans, swimming in the public pool, and we are waiting for summer! :)
