About Me

CURRENT MISSION

2014 - Trying to make a living in NYC!

In 2012 - on my first USA trip - I met my present wife in NYC.
We tied the knot in November of 2013. Presently I am living in Brooklyn.
Unfortunately I can't host any guests.

***

After my work in Pittsburg (USA) I'd like to see more of the northern states and Canada. Hopefully meeting locals and music professionals.

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, warm, always curious & enthousiastic person. I don't consider myself a very adventurious person, but I guess my life has been exiting in many ways so far. As a soundengineer I've spend lots of time on the road, in theatre's and clubs. I do love and live for music. In my spare time I love to be with friends and learn and enjoy from their stories and experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Open up, be interested in other people's points of view, create understanding, share experiences, help eachother in realizing dreams, co-create.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participated in Couchsurfing because of my first trip to the USA I made in 2012.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Little! I have been touring in Belgium, Germany and Spain, staying nights over at friends places. I did travel to Tunesia, Italy, South Africa (work),
Norway, UK, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, France, United Kingdom (holidays).

Interests

My passion: music production and talent development.

I love to get in touch with people who are aware of their social & cultural environment. How do you celebrate live? I do through sharing music, art & experiences.

I love to read, travel and do sports. Although I often don't find enough time to exercise. I am on the road a lot working as a sound engineer for theatre groups and bands.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything that goes beyond thrill & short term satisfaction. I prefer independent movies above Hollywood mainstream movies. Musically I love almost anything as long as there is a strong connection with cultural awareness. I love reading historical books. (Books on history.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Midsummer night in Norway: spending time with friends in a wooden house in the mountains: together alone in nature.

Woodstock69 festival in South Africa: touring with a Dutch band & a (black) band from Soweto, Joburg in Orange Freestate (SA). We (the musicians) shared a warm musical experience; keeping up the good vibes, although we could feel the racial tension between black & white people every day.

Leaving my home, my girlfriend and her two children in 2011; realising that sharing 7 years of our lives will leave everlasting marks, and that our shared past will also connect our separate future (in a positive way!)

Teach, Learn, Share
