Please note that couchsurfing is not a hotel for free. Lately I get a lot of this kind of requests, so I think it is necessary to mention that. The spirit is to get to know each other, share stories and some time, getting to know the culture of the other. If you would like to stay at my place please write something about yourself in your couchsurf request - what kind of a person are you? What do you do in your free time? Why do you think that specifically the two of us would get along well? For that you should read my profile before writing me (I know this is a lot of work as you will probably have to write to many people in Berlin to find a host - in couchsurfing you don't pay with money but with time, for example with the time to read profiles and write interesting requests). Please show that you have read my profile by addressing me with my correct name (which is NOT Daemyong ;) ). You will find my correct name when reading my page here on Couchsurfing :)
Try to make me curious to host specifically YOU. Being settled in Berlin I get about 4 couchsurf requests or more every day - so tell me why you think I should host YOU and not someone else - this will increase very much your chance of getting hosted, not only by me but also by many other hosts on couchsurfing.
Please be aware of the fact that couchsurfing is something quite intimate (NOT in a sexual sense though!) as someone opens their home to you without knowing you and gives some of their precious time to you - that is not normal and I think it is nice to show already in your couchsurf request that you appreciate that (amazingly it is also necessary to say that). Your potential host might appreciate that in return by perhaps deciding to host you :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a member of Couchsurfing since 2010 and of Hospitality Club since 2004 (another club like Couchsurfing) and have both hosted many people at my place and have couchsurfed a lot - amazing people, amazing experiences :-)

meditation, QiGong, some Yoga, daaaancing (mostly tango, some salsa and swing, some contact improvisation etc.), getting to know people - and people from other cultures :-) (I am an anthropologist). And photography :-)
