About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To just breathe

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty introverted person but can be adventurous at the same time. I like sharp-witted and funny people, but like to keep things to a more intimate setting. So, a nice conversation over dinner or coffee is perfect for me.

PHILOSOPHY

The worst thing in life for me is ennui. Life is a struggle for happiness and I welcome this struggle as opposed to the alternative-being bored.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I cannot host anyone. However, I am up for almost anything else-meeting, coffee, drinks, hookah, walking, talking, you name it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To be honest, I am a total newbie on CS! But, I would really like to change this :)

Interests

I really enjoy down to earth activities such as just reading, listening to music, talking with friends, dancing. After moving to Russia, I really enjoy taking walks everywhere and try to take full advantage of this.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books-anything by Haruki Murakami, some classic Russian literature such as Dostoevsky, Tolstoy. Some contemporary popular novels such as the Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

Music-I have a bit of eclectic taste. I like bands such as Radiohead, Bjork, Fiona Apple, the Dresden Dolls, Sigur Ros. However, I am a dancer so I also like a lot of pop and rap music. Don't judge!

Movies-super American comedies such as The Hangover 1 & 2, 40-year old Virgin, Anchorman. I love love love horror movies, mostly Asian ghost ones. I hate romantic comedies, sorry girls. I'd rather go see an action film than some girly movie, lol.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to visit Lion's Head Mountain in Toufen, Taiwan. My friend from college lives in this super tiny town in Taiwan and her family was so amazing and showed me around the whole day and treated me like a queen. I never knew my friend was from such a small town and it was really amazing to see the lifestyle there. However, they live close to this amazing tourist attraction, Lion's Head Mountain, and the atmosphere at the whole place was amazing. Especially when you stop at the temples along the way and just get to turn off the rest of the world and just be.

Teach, Learn, Share

If there is something specific they would want, then I would try to find that. Otherwise, something that embodies the culture of the country in living in.
