ABOUT ME

I was born in Landstuhl, Germany, but we lived in Dahn which is how I came by my name. It was my first trip back to Germany as a young adult that prompted the wanderlust that I have now. When I can't be traveling I'm thankful to live on the incredibly diverse west side of Kauai. My students bring various cultures into my life on a daily basis. I'm just pretty easy-going and love to meet and learn from new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a few dozen surfers when I lived in the Midwest and have couchsurfed in Ecuador, Peru, Senegal, The Gambia, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Australia, India, Mongolia, the U.S., and Canada and in doing so met some of the most incredible people. Unfortunately, I don't currently have a space to host, but I'm willing to meet up.
