About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find a place to crash and cool people to talk with - I can also cook a little :)

ABOUT ME

Energetic, enthusiastic and funny! Nice, sweet and spicy! I usually plan things to the T, but am now trying to be more spontaneous. We are global trotters who love to experience new things and meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, laugh, care :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As new members of couchsurfing we are looking for places to stay at the moment. As soon as we get back home I will start hosting. This is such a cool concept and hopefully will open lots of doors!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but hoping to become very experienced hosting and surfing!

Interests

History, art/architecture, culture, travel, and good conversation. We are adventurous, yet responsible. Learning about other cultures, people and places!

Music, Movies, and Books

Dirty Dancing (just me on this one), Braveheart, Gladiator, Forrest Gump, The Other Sister (me again)...Ken Follet, Dan Brown...old rock, hip hop, samba, salsa, new rock, pop (anything but country really).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is very difficult as we have so many things we can look back on. I would have to say that one of them is seeing the sun rise from above the clouds on Haleakala, Maui. That was a breath taking and humbling experience. Hiking Ka'au crater was another big one - six hours, waterfalls, and a very rewarding experience.
Getting wave smashed on Ke'iki beach was awakening as well. I was truly in awe of the ocean that day!
Being able to see old architecture and art!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

We have been to a few places around the globe and love to tell people about them. I did not bring my pictures on this trip, but love to share them so I bring my external drive in future. I can cook a little bit and so can my husband so if we have a place to stay we would love to either cook or take you out to dinner. We also love wine (so we can bring a bottle or two over).

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, French Polynesia, India, Italy, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, Germany, Italy, United States
