About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I volunteered in Bulgaria, we three volunteers lived in a flat. My roomate decided to host people from couchsurfing, and we had one spanish guy staying at ours for one night. He was traveling in Europe and Asia by himself on his bike. The whole evening we spent talking, and I really had a great time. The stories and adventures that this spanish guy shared with us were a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Next morning he left, and guess what, now I do not even remember his name, and upon saying goodbyes I forgot to ask his full name so I could add him on my facebook. So far that is my all experience regarding couchsurfing:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Absolutely love reading books, some of them literally changed my life. I am a fan of romantic love stories, but few years ago I got into psychological books, and eventually into spiritual books. Gone with the Wind and The Power of Now - the two books that moved for very different reasons but so so profoundly. The Power of Now is my so far greatest book that has had such an influence on me. Love love love good movies, the most recent one that profoundly moved me and which I kept remembering when things would get tough is The Pursuit of Happiness (I dream of thanking Will Smith for making that movie and acting in it so brilliantly). There were a lot of movies that had a profound effect on me. One of those movies was The Godfather, I am very untiviolent to the point where I even avoid harming insects, but that movie did something to me, and after seeing it, I was in mild craziness, surfing interent for the information about that movie, any trivia I could find, watching all interviews witht the actors, the director. Marlon Brando is my all time favourite actor. He was a great actor, and it must have been for this fact that I got interested in him, but eventually the reason why I really started admiring him was for how he was as a person - or the person I imagined him to be having whatched his interviews, his co actors interviews about him, and having red his autobiography. Sigourney Weaver is my favourite actress, there are not many actresses that I find myself admiring for being equally good with dramatic parts as well as comedic parts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have rescued two cats from dying on the streets. One is happily living in my parents house, another is in a animal shelter waiting to be adopted. Really proud of that. Recently organized my mother a surprise trip to Turkey as her birthday present to go with her sister. She always wanted to travel, but time was passing by and she always kept on putting everyone else's needes above her own. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. And as I am writing this, she is holidaying in Turkey with her sister.
