Overview
About Me
I'm an English teacher and a linguist who travels from time to time. Sometimes I prefer solitude, and in other occasions company is where it's at. For the times when I prefer company, this sounds like a decent opportunity.
I usually run on a regulated schedule - up early (between 4 and 6 AM), sometimes with a siesta during the day, sleep around 11-12 PM; with other breaks and retreats during the day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Words can sometimes mean a lot. And seeing I deal with words a lot (and I mean A LOT), I grew to appreciate the value a chat can have. A couple words can change a life. Save a life too. You never know. These instances are basically why I'm here.

Music, Movies, and Books
If I do listen to it, I like to listen to music that has a true, good and beautiful message and a serious emotion powered by something a person has lived through. This alone removes most popular music du jour. I enjoy Gregorian and Byzantine chants. The latter moreso lately. The "fighting" aspect of Byzantine chant, especially polyphonic, is part of the appeal. Increasingly, I find them to be very real, regardless of the time period. And they both expose me to the grandeur of tradition, which may often appear lost but proves to be an anchor for more and more people.
I used to produce music, I do it only seldom nowadays.
In terms of books, my favorite is the Bible. once you get deep into it, it is THE book. I learned much more from just 4 words that combined with my elementary school knowledge than from studying a discipline. It's a wonder, a blessing. Maybe I can show you.
Second favorite... dictionaries of all sorts.
Third? Anything intelectually stimulating could work.
I do not watch movies often. Matrix left a decent impression. The first one. The rest, not as much.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Honestly: started praying. The Rosary is good. Even if it may look shallow, it goes DEEP.
Teach, Learn, Share
I almost died a couple times. Hopefully, I can impart some knowledge on what not to do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully, peace. Truth and truthfulness. Honesty. Integrity. You know, the classics. Hopefully.
