Hello! To most, I am simply known as 'Dal'. I am of Indian heritage, although I was born and bred in the Lone Star State of Texas, where I lived until the age of 22. I attended graduate school in Maryland for three years before moving to Los Angeles. I have lived here for almost 11 years. I enjoy exploring this town and know about many of its 'Hidden Treasures'; places even some of the locals don't know about. I am looking forward to traveling more, especially internationally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the concept! I would love to meet new people, learn about other cultures, host more people at my home, and stay at the homes of others when traveling. I value personal growth, and find this to be a wonderful opportunity to expand my worldview, do things outside of my comfort zone, and learn about myself through my interactions with others.

I mostly enjoy listening to Country music and love the sound of Flamenco. Independent movies are my favorite. I enjoy self-help books and professional literature.

I drove through Titus Canyon in Death Valley, California. It has to be one of the most amazing drives I have ever done!

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to assist others with planning their trip to Los Angeles/ California. I enjoy taking people to visit places that are considered 'Off the beaten path'. I hope to host more people at my home. I enjoy inviting friends over to share an Indian meal and a cup of 'Chai' (tea). My personal goals include learning how to play the guitar, improving my ability to dance Salsa, pursuing more artistic endeavors (such as drawing), and maybe learning another language (Spanish).

I am very clean, responsible, and trustworthy. As mentioned previously, I look forward to hosting people at my home. I can definitely recommend places to visit in Los Angeles and California in general. I can share some aspects of my ancestral culture.
