ABOUT ME

We are a couple, one Australian and one Irish, presently living and working in Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar). After taking time away from a busy work life to travel the world for 14 months, we found we weren't quite ready to let the adventure go. Mongolia has provided plenty of that so far, and if we can ever get out tongues around the language, there will be plenty more.

We love the outdoors and beneath the seas, cooking and eating and drinking fine wine, and entertaining our friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Politically, we're liberally minded. Religiously, we're atheist. We mix well with those who aren't, unless their views are forced upon us. We don't believe it is necessary to have religion guiding your lifestyle - being kind to one another is simple bloody common sense!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We're CS beginners, but have been the beneficiaries of kindly folk many times on our travels and have hosted many friends and friends of friends previously, sharing our home and showing them the sights of our city.

Trekking, running, diving, rogaining, photography... By no means are we adrenaline junkies, but if it's outside there's a good chance we like it. If we have to be indoors, getting in the kitchen with some good food and wine works for us!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Giving up comfortable, secure jobs to travel for a year, to see the world. We saw some great things, some terrible things, but found that the generosity of the human spirit is still alive and well.
