Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling within the USA and outside of the country is a favorite past time and couch surfing provides a unique experience and opportunity to meet new people.

Interests

Enjoy everything outdoors. Working on my climbing and mountain biking any chance i get. I have played soccer my entire life and am active in city leagues. Spend a lot of my free time skateboarding. Roadtrip regularly to skate, bike or climb at a new location. Also enjoy board games and video games when my body or the weather doesn't allow me to get outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love a variety of music, but not so fond of the stuff that gets overplayed on the radio. Enjoy music festivals when i have the energy to endure the crowds . Some of my favorite bands I've seen live are T.V. on the Radio, Andrew Bird, Passion Pit and Alabama Shakes.

I read a lot, or at least I used to before vet school. Enjoy all kinds of fiction, especially the classics and non fiction books that are science based and educational. Most recent reads are Galapagos and Sirens of Titan, both by Kurt Vonnegut (fiction) and The Compass of Pleasure and A Primates Memoir (non-fiction).

Any movie that is mentally stimulating is a favorite for me, but i do enjoy action/superhero movies as well. Recent favorite is Birdman!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent part of my last summer working with veterinarians from Texas A&M and local vets from South Africa on a wildlife conservation medicine study abroad program.
