About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sometimes I can fall into a routine so by always being in a new place and meeting new people keeps everything fresh.

ABOUT ME

Having fun is pretty essential these days. Although the idea of fun may change for different people, I think for the most part having an open mind about new people and situation is the best way to keep having fun. I am living in village in Jordan right now which is a bit of a change from New York City but I love the chickens I have outside my house so I guess that balances everything out. I crush House music a fair amount and love sharing it with people but I can join you in a sing along in pretty much any genre of music. I'm big into current events and classics. Movies, parks, food, chilling out, fun is fun.

PHILOSOPHY

If you talk with someone long enough, with an open-mind, you are bound to find something you have in common or you will learn something new that you will like.

It is what it is- is a humbling expression that prevents me from dwelling on things out of my control.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am pretty new to CS. Honestly my village is pretty set off from the main northern city of Irbid but my buddy hosts CSers a ton and I have gotten a chance to meet a bunch of really cool people as they come through northern Jordan.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have said some good things about the community building aspect of CS which I think it super cool. I have a buddy who is all about it and he convinced me to join and commit 100% to CS.

Interests

In my free time nowadays I am reading a bit more than usual. I am constantly looking of good music to listen to. I am trying to improve my Arabic so I wonder my village looking for people to talk to, although I do not understand what the are saying to me most of the time ha. Cooking needs to be an interest of mine but peanut butter and jelly has been my dish of choice recently. The most fun I have is just hanging out with my friends. I am going to try and do some hiking too. Jordan has great valleys and mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too too many- now I am reading Life of Pi. Just finished A People's History of the United States and The Kite Runner (Both excellent)

Movies- Comedies and epics (I like a long movie..LOTR)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went scuba diving for the first time and it was amazing. The color and the diverse life underwater was stunning. I do not think I have been more at peace, just observing and being amongst such tranquility. Amazing experience that I definitely recommend.

Teach, Learn, Share

You never stop learning-you can learn something from anyone at anytime. I remember I sat in on a third grade Arabic class and every student was far better than I was at Arabic. One boy even tried help me by pointing to the answer in the book and ponouciating the word for me. Extremely cute and insightful. I do not know what I can offer but let's have a conversation and we will see.
