My name is Damiano Cantone, I was born and raised in Catania, Sicily, Italy. I am a physician and work at the University Hospital of Catania. I live alone in Catania and my main passion is travel. I love sports and I have many interests.

I really like to travel and make new friends. Live alone and seems to me couchsurfing ideal to make me travel experience full well as economically affordable. Also live in a wonderful place and i would like to accomodate people who want to visit Sicily.

Music: Blues, Rock-Blues, Rock, Jazz, RnB
Film: I really like watching movies of all kinds. My top five: Forrest Gump, Cinderella Man, Jerry Maguire, The Usual Suspects, The Shawshank Redemption
Books: I like to read books by various authors and genres. My favorites are the ones slightly autobiographical of authors who say they know the truth of things without hypocrisy. In fact, my favorite writer is Charles Bukowski and then others like Henry Miller or Hemingway. Although the majority of my readings on topics of scientific medicine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) I took the pilot's license and left alone with a two-seater plane around Italy.
2) I participated as a surgeon to the removal of the thyroid of my mother
3) I crossed a part of Costa Rican jungle barefoot
4) I swam with sharks in the Pacific
I hope soon to lengthen the list :)
