About Me

Where to start :)

I am currently backpacking across South America until April 2024 with two of my closest mates from Australia, trying to learn Spanish and hoping to meet some great people along the way!

I absolutely love to dance, surf, hike and try my luck play the guitar - which I hope to do a lot of this over these coming months.

I’ve just graduated from studying a Masters in Energy Technologies and am really passionate about all things energy and decarbonization. And while I grew up in Australia, I currently live in London, and have studied for a bit in both Germany and Denmark.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1. To meet some amazing people, locals and travelers
2. To learn to speak Spanish
3. To see as much of South America as possible

Music, Movies, and Books

Unfortunately my taste for music is a bit generic, ngl, but Spotify does a great job choosing for me these days. I like music that I can dance to and feel it’s beat - salsa, bachata, electronic. I usually listen to this type of music when either going for a run or rowing. But I also like music relaxing music.

Movies, I have probably watched too many in my life. I love action movies, but also (as much as I hate to admit it) Rom-Coms - they are so good.

Audiobooks are my latest phase 😍 I am currently reading ‘Waking Up’, but one of my favorite books is ‘first we must make the beast beautiful’. I helped start a book club in Australia with my friends, which has been running for the past 4 years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spontaneous, risky, spontaneous but amazing in its own way - I booked a one way ticket to move to the UK (live, work, study) and have been there for the past two years.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach -> Speaking in English may be my greatest selling point on this trip, but I’d also be happy to teach other things. I’m fairly well travelled, so I’d be happy to help organize some of your travel plans. But let me know what you want to learn! 🎓

Learn -> Honestly, I’d love to practice my Spanish as much as I can. Let’s grab a coffee, and talk 😊 Local tips and food suggestions are also really helpful!

Share -> I love to cook and would definitely be willing to cook a meal for any host. I’m also always up for new experiences. My friends often tell me that I have the energy of a golden retriever… hopefully also pretty fun to spend time with
