Hello my name is Damien !
I'm a 34-year-old French lad living in Nice at the moment.

My philosophy in life is to experience and learn new things constantly. A goal I have is to be a become the best version of myself day after day.

I am into a huge diversity of activities.

I love the outdoors : hiking and trekking in the mountains are a huge part of my identity. Swimming, running, cycling, exercising on a daily basis are very important to me (I try to, I promise !). You can also find me hanging from cliffs doing via ferrata or in the rivers enjoying some canyoning or rafting. Depending on my location in the world, I happily trade my backpack for a surfboard or to do windsurf. I always gaze in admiration at the wonders of nature (moutains, waterfalls, stars, northern lights,...) and will lose it in front of old trees or ancient monuments.

Being a outdoor person doesn't mean I don't enjoy spending time home. I love reading philosophy books that make me ponder on deep ideas or teach me valuable lessons. I sometimes read self-help books but will also dive into some fiction (classic or not) with great pleasure.

One of my main goal this year is to get better at cooking.

I do not use Couchsurfing to travel at the moment but I'm always delighted to host or meet travelers from all over the world.

Let's be honest Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to discover places when you are low on budget.
But the other great thing is that you get to meet people from all over the world; you can learn about new cultures, new food recipes and exchange about your values and life vision. Sharing with couchsurfers is always an experience.

🎵 I listen to a lot of different music genres.
Alternative rock, progressive rock, electronica, rap (French, Italian, Spanish, US), hip-hop, folk for example.
Spotify is open everyday of the year on my phone.
