ABOUT ME

I like to think that i am a mature and sensible person, who is able to let loose and have a bit of fun, but can knuckle down and get a job done when the time comes.

I am a very active person, both physically and mentally. I like to learn and discover, whether discovery is exploring a new land, figuring out how a machine works or getting to understand a friend better.

Above all, i love the little things, the small moments that make something special

PHILOSOPHY

I belive you cant measure a life by material success, but by the weight of experience and enjoymet. You should reach the end of your time and be able to say "that was great fun... I want to do it again!!!"

There is no divine purpose to life, you have to create your own purpose. For me, it is to enjoy the precious little time i have, and to help others do the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just joined the couchsurfing community, and have had limited input, but i hope to change that. I would like to surf, and experience in a greater depth the world i live in through close contact with locals, and when i go home to Australia, i plan on making my couch available as oftern as possible...

Music, Movies, and Books

If i were to give you an extensive list, it would take days to read, and even longer to write! But in a nutshell...
Music, varies depending on my mood, from Russian Romantic composers,to hip hop to Heavy metal, acid jazz and folk.

Movies, again very much a mood thing, I love Dark comedies, the occasional action, something with a good twist and anything which questions and makes you think...

Books, very similar critereia to movies, and i love history books, keeping you informed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a great love of Sailing, and have a good understanding of most aspects of this sport from basic sailing to advanced racing tactics... And i am an instructor in this sport, and love to teach enthusiastic people.

I have a love of cooking and cuisine. I am profficient in Italian, Thai and international cooking, and would lve to teach people about these cuisines, but i also want to expand my own cooking horisons, anyone with any cooking knowledge i will be willing to learn from.

I have been told i have a bizzare knowledge of random, disconnedted facts which can sometimes come in handy... but most of the time its useless, but good for trivial pursuit!!!

I am willing to learn about pretty much anything. Even if its something that i disagree with (because then i am informed as to why i disagree with it). But really, if you have a special talent or knowledge of ANYTHING, tell me about it!
