About Me
Hi, I’m Damir! I was born and raised in Kazakhstan, studied and lived in Russia, and spent the last year and a half between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Now I’m excited to try living in Southeast Asia and discover a new lifestyle.
I enjoy mountains, hiking, photography, good food, and long conversations about life. My English is still a work in progress - sometimes I need a moment to find the right words, but I’m always happy to practice (and sometimes laughter helps more than grammar 😅).
I’m open-minded, respectful, and curious about people and cultures. For me, Couchsurfing is about sharing stories, learning from each other, and building real connections.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I’ve recently started exploring Southeast Asia, Couchsurfing feels like the best way to discover the local culture and meet people who can share their stories and experiences. I want to learn, connect, and give back in the same way - whether it’s sharing food, stories, or just good company.

Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy sharing stories about life in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Central Asia - cultures, traditions, and daily life that are not always well known. I can also teach some Russian or Kazakh words and phrases, cook simple traditional meals, and share travel tips about Central Asia.
In return, I’m always happy to learn about other cultures, try new food, and listen to different life experiences. I believe that every person has something valuable to share, whether it’s knowledge, skills, or just a unique perspective.
