Myself and my fiancée are starting our first backpacking adventures in the beginning of January. We will be starting in Sydney Australia working our way west, then up north to Darwin where we aim to travel across to Asia.

We are interested in seeing as many sights as possible; we are also openminded to learn about different cultures and a different way of life .

We have been together for 5 and a half years now, and have only been on a couple of holidays together, so this a big adventure for us and something we've been wanting to do since we first met. We got engaged a year ago now and would love to get married, but wanted to get some travelling under our belt first. We have been saving for over a year now and finally scraped enough together for this once in a lifetime experience.

We have very similar interest such as; seeing wildlife and interacting with animals, nature as a whole, love trying out new things, seeing historical landmarks and sightseeing. We also love going to art galleries, the theatre and seeing live music. Both of us have either worked or studied in these areas, so we have a great passion for being involved in any of these activities!

We are very social, and its all about who you spend your time with. When in good company it doesn't matter what you're doing, it's all about having a laugh and a great time. My fiancée is called Kayleigh, she's the one who has true love for animals and nature; she studied animal care and has always been interested in working with all different types of animals. As for myself I studied a fine art degree and is creatively minded, I'm a recent graduate so I'm only starting off as an artist. Also I musically orientated, I have been playing guitar for years (not really good though :P ).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are looking to not only see the world but experience the different cultures. We are on a budget and what better way to experience what we want to than visiting someone in their own home! Through this we can gain knowledge and gather tips from the different people we meet.

Starwars, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Marvel, Disney, Ghibli Studio, Deaf Havana, You Me At Six, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles, T-Rex, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Alterbridge ( pretty much all types of music!) and instead of listing the books we've read, we love reading fantasy novels. Overall we are big nerds!

There's lots to teach, lots to learn and so much to share. Any new knowledge is best when you share with others and when they share with you as you learn a lot of things you would have never known before.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are very good cooks and would love for you to try traditional english meals! I can play the guitar, so if you fancy a little sing a long I'm your guy! Most of all we are great company and would love to tell you stories of back home, we also have great humour!
