I'm Dan! And, with me is my girlfriend Nicole! We live in a van named Rex (AstrosuarusRex in full). I converted a creeper van into a camper van over the 2017 summer and we're finally on the road! Planning to just experience as much of the world as we can, starting from the Poconos, PA. I worked full time for the last 4 years and now I'm ready to travel! We spent winter exploring Florida and now are working our way back up to PA.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly my reason for being on here is because I want to meet up with local people who know an area! We don't care about the super touristy spots that are easy to find, we want to see the places that tourists don't know about. The abandoned buildings that might technically not be completely legal, but we have to go to. Or the little whimsical waterfalls that don't have a perfect paved path leading to them, but are worth the effort to get to them. We want your input!

And of course, if you happened to have a parking spot on the street that Rex could safely fit in for a night, that would always be a big help! Even a shower would be amazing every once in a while (but don't worry, we have a gym membership we use all the time).

But yeah, we would love to meet you!

Interests

I love longboarding, so if you've got some rad pavement that I shouldn't pass up, I wanna know! Also love film-making, and always craving creating more! I've made a couple music videos and some other work, and am excited to make connections and create more art while on the road.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Into the Wild", "Inception," and "Fight Club" are those films I could watch innumerable times. Beyond those, I love any good psychological horror, thriller, or drama; and most anything from David Fincher, Chris Nolan, or M. Night Shyamalan.

Music is one thing that I feel like I still have so much to explore since I grew up extremely sheltered. Absolutely love live music and the passion that goes into the creation of art. The Japanese House, The 1975, Tame Impala, TØP, Childish Gambino to name a few bands.

Nicole is also an incredible dancer, so if you'd like to learn ballet technique, she'll guide you through it just like she tried to do with me (even though i can't dance to save my life). She's also got plenty of cute puppy videos to instantly induce happiness.
