Overview
About Me
My interests in geography, culture and environment have pulled me in many directions, leading me to spend some time living in various regions of the US as well as Brazil and the Basque Country. That frequent moving around combined with my generally communal nature lead to this whole sharing-belongings-and-life-experiences-with-strangers deal coming fairly easy to me. I'm all about meeting new people and building radical/intentional community.
You can often find me exploring urban or wild areas by foot or bike, and in search of funky new friends to meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that interactions based on a transaction- financial or otherwise- can never be as genuine as those performed out of generosity and a desire to share. Amazing things happen when we decide to care for each other and give just because it feels good. To that end I enjoy sharing whatever I can in order to build relationships and a network of mutual aid.
Interests
Ecology, art, fermentation, diy, bugs, hitchhiking. Listening to others go off on their nerdy interests!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of cumbia, tropicalia, hip-hop, post punk...a good variety, and of course always looking to add to that.
I read voraciously, which may be one reason I never seem to remember a long list of the books I've gone through.
Tending the Wild & Braiding Sweetgrass are recent favorites.
Pedro Almodovar, the Coen brothers, John Waters and David Lynch are some of my favorite directors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biking bare-ass naked through the Chicago Loop and blocking traffic with 2,000 other weirdos.
Burning Man. Just all of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a halfway decent cook and am always eager to teach or learn more in that arena. I especially love wild foods.
If you're in my area I love teaching people about plants I know.
When exploring a new place I tend to seek out alternative/radical community centers, maker spaces, or naturist hotspots, so learning from each other about anything along those lines would be cool.
I like sharing almost anything, whether that be food, a buzz, a secret meditative spot, or just chill time hanging out.
I work in public lands conservation (think national parks and forests) so depending on your interests I can point out hikes, swimming holes, waterfalls, camping spots etc. I might even join, schedule and responsibilities permitting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always down to help out with chores!
