I am currently suffering from wanderlust. After my 3 kids, the 4 loves of life are food, history, music, and art. Travelling gives me the opportunity to experience all of these in abundance. Whether it’s enjoying fondue in the Swiss Alps, singing the Hofbräuhaus-Lied while tipsy on Dunklel in Munich, marveling at Vermeer’s work in The Haugue, hearing the notes of Mozart or Vivaldi in Salzburg, or touching the roots of western civilization in Rome.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am giving couchsurfing a try based on the recommendation of a friend. I used to be a frequent Airbnb host in Las Vegas and I met a lot of cool people. When I have travelled via airbnb, I felt like I was just getting a less expensive hotel room, instead of exposed to the local culture. I would like to hear and learn about the culture that I am visiting from a local’s perspective as well as tips to make my visit the best it can be.

I enjoy quite a variety of music. My favorite band is Pink Floyd and my favorite genre of music is Christmas songs. Yes, I know the two aren’t related. I also really enjoy Rock, Classical, Baroque, and 80’s pop.
With regards to movies, I like comedies. I don’t like violence or drama as life as too much of those anyways.
I rarely read, but when I do I like Kurt Vonnegut or poetry.

A buddy and I did a 8 countries in 10 days trip to Europe. It was my first experience with the continent. So many great stories to tell.

I have had so many experiences that I feel are amazing that I think others might not enjoy, but I can tell you about them.
