From luxury rooftops to desert containers without electricity, I’ve seen life from both sides—and I treasure it all.

When I studied, I aimed to be the best and collect every award.

When I started working and chasing cash, I chose the toughest and most remote oilfields to build my path.
When I discovered investing, I threw myself fully into real estate, crypto, and the stock market.

I’ve never been into social media. I deactivated my Facebook back in 2012 and haven’t looked back since. No Instagram, no TikTok — just emails and the occasional chat app to keep in touch. I did have LinkedIn for a while, back when I was still finding my place in the corporate world. But even then, I always felt disconnected from the whole idea of broadcasting your life online.

What drew me to Couchsurfing was something completely different: people here actually want to meet. To connect. To share real stories and live real adventures — not just post about them. There’s no endless scrolling or filtered highlight reels. Just simple profiles, honest words, and a mutual desire to cross paths in the real world. 🤝

I'm a practical guy. I don’t like wasting time with endless chatting that leads nowhere. What I love about CS is that when you talk to someone here, there's a good chance you'll actually meet. And when you do — that’s when the magic starts. Real conversations. Real energy. Real presence.

I value real life more than virtual life. And here, it’s all about being present, open, and spontaneous — not curating your “best side” for likes. Honestly, you can follow someone on Instagram for 10 years and still not really know them. But spend two nights with someone through Couchsurfing, and it can feel like you’ve been friends forever.

Through both Couchsurfing and my life journey, I’ve realized something: when people travel, they carry a different kind of energy. They’re more alive. Curious. Honest. Receptive. They listen more. Share more. And when the clock is ticking — when you don’t know if you’ll ever cross paths again — that connection becomes even more meaningful.

It’s about being part of someone’s world—even if for a short while—and letting others into mine. 🙏

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Too many to choose from… but here’s one that stays with me:

In just 24 hours, I watched the sun set in three different countries. From the desert heat of Tripoli 🌞, to an unexpected layover in Istanbul 🌇, ending with the cool night breeze in Belgrade 🌃. It felt like the sun was following me — or maybe I was chasing it — across borders, time zones, and versions of myself.

But then again…
There was also the time I spent 250 days in the middle of the desert, working one of the toughest jobs I’ve ever done.
Each morning started in a freezing metal room.
Days blurred into 16-hour shifts under a scorching sky.
Some nights, dinner was a simple mix of tuna, ketchup, and rice — not by choice, but because the power was out and there was nothing else.
The basics — water, electricity, internet — were never guaranteed.

It wasn’t just physically demanding.
It was a mental test. A reset.
You learn a lot about yourself when comfort disappears, and all you're left with is your own thoughts, discipline, and grit.

That experience didn’t break me — it humbled me, focused me, and showed me how little we actually need… and how much we’re capable of enduring.
