Hi I'm Danny (22), me and my friend Lucas (21) decided to go travelling around Australia starting from Cairns and are looking to work our way down the east coast. We are wanting to be shown a more authentic side of Australia rather than a one focused on tourism. We both have very easy going personalities and want to take this opportunity to meet real local Australians.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It gives us a chance to have a more authentic experience in Australia. We want to be able to meet real Australians which hopefully gives us a chance to see more of their day to day lifestyle.

Interests

Dan- I am a certified Personal Trainer and love sports and going to the gym, leading a active and healthy life style. Ever since I was 18 I've always loved travelling and meeting new people. I like to socialise and meet new people and learn about culture. Having doing a TEFL qualification in Spain while living in Barcelona and Seville I loved learning and experiencing culture, food and music. I also love the outdoors and seeing nature, learning about the world.

Lucas - Coming from a mixed nationalties background its has always inspired me to meet new people and learn about cultures from a different perspective. From a young age I have always been very keen on sport (tennis, cricket, badminton), having played football at club level it gave me a chance to gain a more indepth knowledge of the sport. I have recently just left university to pursue my love of travelling. I have recently just come back from backpacking across Europe where I spent a month visiting 9 different countries. I'm also very interested in music and regularly attend gigs and music festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a broad interest in all types of music starting from rock to reggae, to classical to hip hop. We also taste in films ranging from action and adventure to documentaries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are very polite and easy going people which results making friends easily. Coming from the north of England it gives us a chance to share our culture with others, which means while you can share your culture you will also learn about another.
