I'm just finishing up a year of teaching english in Zagreb. I'm about to have 3 months of unstructured travel time. This will be a first for me. The best thing about me is my dog, Sofi. She's been everywhere I've traveled since we moved her last year. You might like me; most people really do. you'll certainly like her.

When it comes to music, it basically starts with Radiohead and then can become a discussion about what else I like. That being said, I'm a fan of most electronic genres, some alternative rock, a healthy amount of 90'g grunge and Joohnny Cash.
I'm not a huge movie guy. If we're talking about new releases, I only get psyched for James Bond movies. In general, I watch scary movies but rarely like them. The last really good movie I saw was "The Imposter".
I'm a reader, so it's not easy to accurately list my favorite books. Here's a few: For Whom the Bell Tolls, Endurance, A Separate Peace, The Old Patagonian Express, Dark Star Safari, Into Thin Air, Moonraker, Murder on the Orient Express, Bringing Down the House, The Power of Now

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A year and a half ago, I realized that my life, which had been totally focused on achieving and acquiring, was empty. I have changed almost everything to try to create an authentic life. It's still surreal to me that I'm living in Croatia and teaching. It has been a huge challenge, but I am so glad I am trying.

I've got a good attitude and a great work ethic. If I can be of help, I want to be. I'm pretty handy - I'm not a master carpenter, but I've owned houses in the past, so I have a pretty solid command of the things that need to be done around a home. I have experiences - good and bad - that I draw from and am willing to share. I'm not somebody that offers unsolicited advice, but I used to make my living giving advice to my clients. Maybe the best thing I have to offer is simply fitting into the environment in which I find myself and being a positive part of whatever is going on.
