About Me

I'm a young dude, kind of introverted, but I'm really interested in anything social to improve regarding my anxieties, trying new things. Something that I love is having a meaningful conversation, but you can also tell me about how your day went, I don't mind haha.
My motto is that you can learn all sorts of things from experiences, not necessarly related to the experience itself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On the short term, I'm coming to London from 1st to 6th of November and looking for people to hang out and exchange experiences and why not crash at theirs if they're able to host.
On the long term, I'm looking forward to travel around Europe as I came to the realisation that I haven't fully experienced life as I should've had, after seeing my friends do the same last summer and I want to catch up haha.

Interests

Being a electronics engineering student, having a passion for technology and the way things work under the hood is a prerequisite that I fortunately fulfill.
Philosophy and science are two of the major things that powered the revolutions that made the world revolve the way it is right now, and sure, while it is not spinning perfectly, it has its hiccups, it is the best it could get in my opinion, as we, the humans that envision them are not perfect. :).
I think that in nowadays society, understanding economical concepts is the key to finding how you should place yourself in order to have a meaningful contribution to humanity on the long term.
Sports are a way for me to exhibit my true nature without being afraid of the outcome, because as a kid I have always had a very competitive side in everything I did. Now I am more laidback, but whether it comes down to football, basketball, or even 100m track sprints(I was doing Athletism in High School), I give my best no matter what.
Now music is my true passion and escape from the quotidian. My dad started one of the most prolific rock bands in Romania around the 90s(if you're curious enough to look after them on YouTube, they are called Timpuri Noi) and they still play. Guitars laying around the place is a given and the TV rocking out VH1 at 9am in the morning too so you can see where this is going. I'm still a rookie in guitar play, and electronic music production which is something that I've grown passionate about, but they keep me awake when university doesn't haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Nirvana(Kurt Cobain) a true inspiration in how an artist should be unapologetic about who he is and how he conducts himself.
Skrillex- has a work ethic to live by and a legend and a prodigy that managed to reinvent himself in the years and the electronic music genre as a whole
BOOKS
The Process-by Franz Kafka( a nice incursion into an atypical universe proving the helplesness of man in front of the absurd)
Siddhartha- by Herman Hesse (initiatic novel that shaped the way I think about new experiences in life)
MOVIES
The Departed(very very cool action movie for anyone, lots of plot twists, crazy ending, just watch it, you'll love it)
Saving Private Ryan( a sad but real story that made me realise the opportunity that I have been given by being born in a society where it's still peace, it made me take action more and be more interested in the history of this world)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am yet to do something amazing in life but one thing that I recently have done and I am proud is I have managed to hike and climb a pretty hard mountain "Piatra Craiului" last summer, I have some pictures of it in my profile and let me tell you. No picture compares to what you see when you are at the top.
