Hi I'm Dan, I'm 30, male and from Bristol UK.

I'm currently travelling around Taiwan for a year on a YMS visa (May 2023 to May 2024) with my partner Rachel.

We're hoping to do some travelling around the island by bicycle, seeing the countryside and the cities, and then maybe do some work away/help exchange type stuff.

We are really interested in the history and culture of Taiwan, including it's rich aboriginal traditions and would love to learn as much as we can. We also want to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the the country - especially its mountains and seas!

Music: I grew up on punk music, now I love it all - I particularly love finding sounds I've never heard before.

Movies: anything with a good story.

Books: biographies of adventurers, comedians, musicians - anyone that's lived an amazing life that I want to learn from.

Looking forward to immersing myself into learning Mandarin and learning about Taiwanese culture and history!

I'm a qualified English teacher (CELTA) and would love to help anyone who's interested.

I can also teach guitar, first aid (FREC 4), and am a qualified football (soccer) coach (FA Level 1 Coaching) and enjoy sharing any of these skills with anyone that is interested in them!
