About Me

I love my work as much as I love to travel to remote destinations and experience new cultures, so my lifestyle matches these passions. I'm a frequent independent traveler who believes you get the most from your experiences by stepping out of your comfort zone, going to new, off the beaten path places, getting immersed in the local culture, and eating all the amazing food from around the world.

I'm currently doing my Masters at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU - in a program that combines art and technology. I come from a programming background, but now focus on creative projects.

Besides the above I'm into music, attending Burning Man or similar types of festivals, art and museums, theater, cycling, and watching soccer, especially the World Cup!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting interesting people from around the world when I travel, which is why I opt to go solo and stay in hostels. The downside of staying in hostels if you never really meed the locals.

Couchsurfing for me is a way to connect to people that live in these destinations and get authentic experiences in restaurants, street food, bars, and nightlife, where few foreigners go, and also be able to offer the same experience when someone wants to visit wherever I live.

I'm also an awesome tour guide, and love showing people how amazing of a place NYC is. I know the city and am glad to go to quality food, nightlife, cultural (theater, performing arts, etc) shows with people that want to get the real NYC experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got stuck on motorbikes at the top of the Vietnamese alps with a friend after the sun went down. The road was muddy with a cliff on one side. After 5 hours of misery we somehow made it down the mountain alive into some unmapped town and convinced some farmers, using sign language, to let us stay in their home.
