I grew up in New York but have lived most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area, I now live in Oakland. I'm well read, politically left, and always interested in other people and new experiences. I am currently retired and used to be in tech.

I listen to a very wide variety of music. My favorites are Jazz (bebop), New Wave, American Roots music, Rock, EDM, Classical. I like movies/TV that are dark and/or funny - some favorite series are: Breaking Bad, Severance, Sopranos, Arrested Development. Some favorites movies are: Lawrence of Arabia, Last Tango in Paris, Parasite, Oppenheimer, The French Connection, Platoon, The Godfather, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Most of my reading is non-fiction these days - Philosophy and History.
