I am an artist seeking to expand my cultural understandings beyond that of my American heritage. The only resonant way which I have found to do so is travel. For the last year, I've been teaching ESL in Taiwan, and I've recently landed a job as a performing arts teacher!

My main passion is performance art, but I play music and write poetry as well. I also love to paint (mostly watercolor)! I am an avid brewer (and drinker) of beer, and am currently looking into the logistics of distilling whiskey.

兴趣

I spend a lot of time reading, writing and playing music. If I have a spare moment, I like to observe the world around me through a lens of watercolor paint.

Politics, history, social science, psychology, it all winds together in a poetic and theatrical attempt to understand the world, and how we can affect it for the better.

I am in love with progressive rock, metal and jazz. Any music that breaks the 4/4. I also like anything that tells a story. Favourite bands have included Modest Mouse, The Mars Volta, Dave Brubeck, Thelonious Monk.

Books; The Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles, Les Miserables, Catch 22, Harry Potter, Redwall, The Gunslinger.... Anything adventurous or thought provoking.
