HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got into couch surfing when I moved to Minsk and I was desperately searching for some English speaking friends.

I ended up hosting and making some new friends, as well as giving general advice/help to people making their way through Belarus (not the easiest country to travel in).

Now I'm still looking for fun people who want to spend some time exploring, eating, and drinking.

I'm happy to host if my schedule allows. I've already had some great experiences with CS. If you need help while you're here, don't hesitate to ask. I may not be the one to help, but I'll do my best to get you in touch with someone who can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people, and have been to several unofficial CS meet ups in Minsk (bars, resturants, bbq's, etc) CS is great :)

Minsk is a funny place. Please be sure to take care of as much paperwork as possible BEFORE you enter the country. I've already had a few friends come across trouble staying or leaving.

The KGB still exists here, and they will interrogate you at the airport if your visa is expired. They carry guns, not smiles.
