My name is Dana and I am a magazine editor. While I grew up in Vancouver, BC I have been living in Yellowknife, NT on and off for eight years. I currently live on my own with my two cats, Penny and Patrick.

I like to think of myself as a pretty creative person. My hobbies include writing, painting and baking among other things. I often keep my nose in the books (I especially love historical fiction), but can be really social and outgoing once you get to know me. When I travel, I love learning about the history of a place and I really enjoy learning about the place's art and architecture. I also love finding all the best vegan options in a city as well as the best craft beer!

I am really looking forward to meeting new people throughout my travels and learning about where they come from.

I find the best way to explore a new place is by meeting the people who are from there, so I'm using Couchsurfing as a way to connect with locals, make some new friends and hopefully find a few places to crash as I travel around.
