Hello, my name is Dana Kelder and I'm from Amsterdam. I'm currently studying in Dunedin at the University of Otago for 1 semester. I really like studying here so far, the campus, people and my papers are mostly about geology and one paper about Maori Society.

At my home university in Amsterdam I'm studying Future Planet Studies, in short it is about global sustainability. So, I'm learning about climate change, sea level rise, natural hazards, ecosystem, earth sciences ect.

In general, I would say about myself that I'm a kind, cheerful, easy-going, relaxed person. In my free time I like to play sports and see my friends. Sports have always been a big part of my life. I have played hockey for 12 years on a high level and currently for the last 2 two years I am playing soccer. I really like meeting new people and seeing new places. Other hobbies of mine are surfing, playing board/ card games, skating, bicycling, yoga, innovation and trying to be as sustainable as possible.

In upcoming easter break I want to travel through the south island of New Zealand with amazing people and hope to see lots of cool things while traveling. Our first stop is in Christchurch and we are looking forward to be there and hope to find a place to stay!
